Launch of "GMO Spoofed Email Block" to Prevent the Exploitation of Protective Domains for Spoofed Emails
— Centralized Security Management for "Protective Domains," Which Are Often Overlooked in Cybersecurity Measures —
GMO Brand Security, Inc. (President and CEO: Mitsuaki Nakagawa; hereinafter “GMO Brand Security”), a member of the GMO Internet Group, will launch “GMO Spoofed Email Block” on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. This service is designed to prevent "protective domains" (dormant and defensive domains) held by companies for brand protection and other purposes from being exploited for spoofed emails.
While companies are steadily implementing security measures for the primary domains they use daily for websites and emails, protective domains that are not in active operation often lack adequate defenses, leaving them vulnerable to exploitation in phishing scams and other malicious activities. This new service specializes in the centralized management of spoofed email countermeasures specifically for these groups of protective domains (excluding primary domains). It is designed to help companies mitigate the risk of brand damage while alleviating operational workloads. The service will be offered through GMO Brand Security’s website and direct sales activities.
